Ingredients
- 4 Large Granny Smith or Honey Crisp Apples Washed and Dried
- 4 Tsps Lemon Juice 1 per Apple
- 1/3 Cup Red Cranberries Fresh or Dried
- 1/2 Cup Red Cherries If frozen completely thawed
- 1/3 Cup Organic Walnuts Rough Chopped
- 2 Tbsps Maple or Date Syrup
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Nutmeg Powder
- 1/8 Tsp Cloves Powder
- 1/3 Cup Water For Baking Dish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees (175C)
Cut off the top of each washed apple set aside
Core the apples leaving about a 1/2-inch thickness at the bottom
Pour 1 Tsp of lemon juice in each apple
In a bowl, Mix together gently the cherries, cranberries, walnuts, maple syrup
Stir in Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Cloves to the fruit mixture until combined
Stuff each apple with the fruit and nut mixture
Place the stuffed apples in the baking dish add the cut of top then add 1/3 cup of water to the bottom of the dish
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the apples are tender
Remove from the oven let rest for 10 minutes
Serve Warm Lightly dusted with Vanilla Powder
